Corrupted office documents

Hi all, we are having lot of issues with our SAN and just manage to fix it. But as result any documents that was edited in last few days are corrupted. Word, excel, PPT etc even non Office based apps.

Is there any software we can use for word docs that we can recover the data? I tried doing open with repair but no joy

What kind of issues...such a corruption seems like either a malware or a complete file corruption...check the sizes of the files...if they are in a reasonable size then maybe you could try some Word repair utilties (Google them) ...but if you see something like 1KB,2KB ...etc...probably everything is gone.

Error is varied but lot of "Microsoft office cannot open this file because some parts are missing"

The file size is 170kb or plus so not in the 1kb range. Tried few freebie ones and all says unable to recover.

Just got to keep looking for good software i guess

Probably you need to send emails to good recovery vendors...just send them a couple of them and if they manage to recover then buy the software

for all recovery i use GDB http://www.runtime.org/
it is not free, but you run it for free - and it shows what it can recover - you only pay for storing the results
