Print from DOS on ESXi

I have an ESXi server running a VM of Windows XP. I need to be able to print from DOS in specific from DBASE and Wordperfect. I have this running in Virtual PC (XP Mode) at the moment and it works fine. From what I remember to get this working in Virtual PC i installed the printer dirver in windows then enabled printer pooling and then just selected LPT1 as the second destination in the windows printer driver. This seems to work fine in Virtual PC but not in ESXi. It is completely possible I'm not duplicating what I did in the past but I cant seem to figure it out.

Im just trying to move this VM to a server vs having it on a workstation.

Your Help is very appreciated,
Thanks

Ok that definitely stirs some memories of what I did in the past. This printer is connected straight to the network so is the server the ip and printer name the netbios name (or hostname)?

Thanks

In net use this is printer share name. The server name should be the right name.
I think I got it in my case the share name was the name I choose as the share name in winows xp and the server name was simply 127.0.0.1.

That seems to have worked although seems to have taken a reboot for permissions to be right.

Thanks for the hlep.
