photon-machine: Could not connect to one or more vCenter Server systems
Hi,
During a setup of a vcenter server, the installation did not complete and left a half-dead "photon-machine" in the vcenter. I have removed the non-existing "photon-machine" using a few tips on the internet (SSH into the vcenter Server Applicance and runing a few commands that i have forgotten right now).
I have removed the Photon-machine from the services as well, so it is no longer to be found anywhere (in the GUI).
However, every time, I connect to our vcenter, I see this message:
1) Could not connect to one or more vCenter Server systems:
https://photon-machine.domain.local:443/sdk
2) There are vCenter Server systems with expired or expiring licenses in your inventory.
2a) The Details are: photon-machine.domain.loca l - License expires on 11/24/2019 (17 days left)
Clearly the photon-machine has not been removed completely or successfully.
Is a way to get rid of this message? Possible some manual deletions in the Postgress SQL database?
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
Br, Bjorn

So your VCSA installation FAILED ?
Hi,
Photon is the OS of your vcenter
If the vCenter installation did not succeed, there is no commands to do..
You should have deleted completly the failed vCenter VM (delete from disk) and reinstall a new one

Let me clarify a bit :)
I have vcenter1 which is working
I have vcenter2 which is working
I have tried to install vcenter3 several times, but it failed. Eventually I got it right, though.
Vcenter1's hosts has Enterprise functionality and is running in Linked Mode so that I can see vcenter2 and vcenter3.
What I have left are some remainings from the failed installations of vcenter3.
All vcenters are VCSA and version 6.5.0a

So did vcenter3 fail to install at present or is working ?
do you have a vcenter3 installed and working correctly, and these bits are leftover....
or you've not installed a vcenter3 again?

vcenter3 is working well and licensed and everything.
So the first time it installed and failed, and left this stuff, and the next time it installed, but now you've got all this garbage left ?

@Andrew. Yes. That is correct. I did remove it from services etc. using the above mentioned commmands to remove it from the vcenter, but apparantly it still exists somewhere.
