To Migrate Legacy Windows Physical Server into virtual on vSphere 6.5

We need to Migrate Windows 2000 Server on vSphere 6.5

Existing Windows 2000 is a Physical Server , How can we migrate this to VM using VM converter supported version for 6.5?

What should be best approach to get it migrated to VM on my vSphere 6.5

Thanks!

Use VMware Converter, but you are going to have to build many platforms to migrate it.

It's really time to retire that server, as it's not supported on vSphere anymore.

If you really must migrate it, you must find a version of VMware Converter which supports Windows 2000, and then migrate to ESXi 3.x, ESXi 4.0...

and then find a version of converter from ESXi 4.x to ESXi 6.5.

Thanks Andrew ,am am able to convert my VM by following article as mentioned above

Done with H/w version and vmtool upgrade on 5.5

Further need to extend OS Dirve and to migrate the same to 6.5
and do we need to make any change for any h.w on converted VM like NIC ? and SCSI Controller etc?
I would NOT make any changes to the OS, and I would have not done any VMware Tools upgrade!
