SBS2011 VM shutdown itself

Hi,

I have a SBS2011 as virtual machine that was shutdown on its own. When I looked up Event viewer, I found the following:
The process C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe (PD1) has initiated the shutdown of computer PD1 on behalf of user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM for the following reason: Other (Planned)
 Reason Code: 0x80000000
 Shutdown Type: shutdown

Do you know how I can determine the cause?

Thanks.

That particular event is generic. All we know for sure is a service did it.

If I were to guess though, it was the licensing service. And that'll have another event logged. SBS has specific requirements that, if you break those rules, starts shutting down SBS.

The most common mistake is demoting SBS from a domain controller or transferring any of the Fsmo roles.

I posted screenshots of App & System Events prior to the shutdown time which is 5:48PM. I started this VM at 8:28PM.
Keep looking through the events.  It looks like you only posted after the shutdown already started. Not what triggered it.  I'm still betting you've made a change on your SBS server to take it out of licensing compliance.

Let’s assume that I removed licensing compliance from SBS2011 and it caused the server to shot down. How often & when would I expect to see this happen again?
I don't discuss situations that involve intentionally breaking a license agreement.  Also, such discussions go against EE policy so most other experts here won't either.

@Cliff,
Somehow my question/reply - "Let’s assume that I removed licensing compliance from SBS2011 and it caused the server to shot down. How often & when would I expect to see this happen again?" - was misunderstood.

Let me rephrase my question and btw SBS2011 Server has NOT been shutdown since my original posting.

First, I have not changed anything in SBS2011 in terms of licensing. I don't know how these things work, other than it is activated several years ago.
Second, I wanted to know that if "licensing compliance" had triggered the shutdown, should I expect more often than just once? It has been a week since I posted this question.
This question needs an answer!
