Best practive to apply a wallpaper on a workgroup
Greetings,
We have machines in our classroom that have 2 profiles: english and français
What we would need to do is to push a wallpaper in english for the english profile and push a wallpaper in french for the french profile.
Can you give me advice to set this up please? I believe local GPO can do the trick but not sure how to set that up. I know how to do it on a domain but never tried on a workgroup.
Cheers,
Richard

You can not in a workgroup use anything centralized to the system to have two different wallpapers for two different users.
The only way is you login and configure each user individually. One system.
You can the try to use the user migration wizard to copy the two profiles to each system ....

Hi Peter,
Is there a way to export a gpo and import it through the network with a deployment software? I did in the past export a firewall in Windows firewal and was able to import it using PDQ Deploy
export: netsh advfirewall export "C:\firwallpolicy.wfw"
Import: netsh advfirewall import "C:\temp\firwallpolicy.wfw "
Can the same be done with a local GPO file (admx I think) ?
Cheers,
Richard

Copy the wallpaper file to a folder that everyone has access e.g. ProgramData.
Expand User Configuration, Administrative Templates, Control Panel, Desktop, Desktop.
Configure the policy called 'Desktop Wallpaper'
