Turn off the Simplified Ribbon
You can turn off the Simplified Ribbon and return to the expanded, classic ribbon by clicking the downward caret on the right side of the ribbon.

Hmm, the downward arrow just seems to hide the ribbon.  Unless I'm not finding it...

i see the clip you attached but that just hides the ribbon.  I’m looking to bring it to the classic format

I hide it then I click the 4th icon from the right and select show tabs and commands.. you didn't watch all of the clip..
i believe the OP is trying to display the Quick Access Toolbar

it may not be available on the online version of Word 365

Thanks for your patience everyone.  Looks like I had an issue looking at the pics from a user in our organization depicting Outlook and Word when I thought they were both from Word....and it looks like the question was answered quite appropriately given the question.
