Oracle and MySQL learning resource for an OCP.
hi,
I am not that zero knowledge on oracle as I have attend Oracle 11g workshop, and also have more and more knowledge of Oracle like topology and theory as well as weakness of Oracle. I DO NOT have hands on setting up RAC, dataguard, ASM and replication on Oracle,.
Now I want to get Oracle OCP, for example, for 19c, any kind of resource/URL/video/book you oracle expertise can suggest me to read to pass OCP as easy as possible ?
12c, 18c and 19c is the version of focus.
I prefer online video training, as it is easier for me.
how about the same thing for MySQL ? I want to get OCP for MySQL too and I have a lot of hands on experience on MySQL , like replication, InnodB cluster , but NOT NDB cluster yet!

True. But one course is likely to be insufficient for full preparedness... So the point stands.
It's been a few years since I took the OCP exam but remember the Admin OCP questions more or less coming from the Admin Education class.

I don't believe they offer a 19c OCP yet. Any training or certifications offered will be on Oracle Educations site. What they have posted is what they offer. There is nothing more I can offer.
You can use any other material you want to try and pass the OCP exam but you will still have to take at least one class from Oracle Education so might as well take the one that will help you pass it.
If you want to pay for additional education, that is up to you but I'm not aware of any boot-camp style training for Oracle certifications.

just have a workmate say a training center here train 19c and since 19c, it seems we do not need to do OCA before OCP, can do OCP directly.'

MUST attend class from Oracle itself ? third party training center is not possible ?

Oracle will eventually offer the 19c OCP so if you want to start studying for when they release it, go ahead.

I cannot say for sure. I earnd mine MANY years ago when it was multiple tests to get the OCP so passing the first test or two already earned me the OCA by default.
I can only go with what is stated on the certification site now.

Self-study courses (labeled as 'Self-Study' in the course format) are great preparation tools, but do not fulfill the training requirement. Course must be delivered by Oracle University Training Center, Oracle Authorized Education Center, Oracle Authorized Partner Oracle Academy or Oracle Workforce Development Program.

For the OCP, an Oracle Education class is a requirement so the point is moot.
