A customer brought in a surface go that will not boot up, instead it comes to a blue screen with the error: "The boot configuration doesn't contain valid information for an operating system."
I have attached a picture of the error screen so you can seen what i am talking about.

Could be small bug where boot info is damaged, but could also be more series (storage malfunctioning).
Obviously, we'll hope for the best case scenario for now, so follow the steps here: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/rebuild-bcd-windows-10
If you can't get it into the advanced recovery, you'll have to use a win10 USB boot medium. https://www.microsoft.com/nl-nl/software-download/windows10

I am going to need to plug in a win10 usb boot medium and this surface pro does not have a usb port, The only way to plug one is to us a usb "C" type to usb adapter and I didn't have one, so I had to order one and it won't be here until Fri. .  Until then I will have to put this on hold.

I hope you'll have a USB hub on standby too, as I think to force BIOS to boot to USB, enter commands etc etc, you'll best need a Logitech Wireless Desktop (both keyboard and mouse), or separate USB keyboard and mouse. Bluetooth keyboard and touch screen are activated after a working Windows boots.

Sorry I didn't close this out when I should have.  I did get an adapter and was able to re-install the OS and now it is working fine.
