Hi Experts

Could you point the better tools to produce Youtube films?

My need is mainly to show a set of desktop systems running (step-by-step) to teach people to use them.
Maybe some powerpoint slides needs to be presented too. I guess something that resembles Udemy lessons.

Thanks in advance.

I like Camtasia for this type of thing.

Hi

I didn't mentioned on the question that I'm looking for a free tool...
there are many free tools that allow you to record your screen (VLC or CamStudio for example)

however most of the "free" video editing tools have limits - for example length of video or adding a watermark.

also, video editors are difficult to use & require a strong PC - fast cpu & lots of memory

Shotcut is a free, open source, cross-platform video editor.

Better to use an inexpensive product.

Windows - Camtasia, as Echo_S mentioned.

Macs - ScreenFlow.

As Paul mentioned, most video editing then finalizing (exporting to various formats) requires a fairly beefy CPU.

Your software cost will be minor compared with your hardware costs.

Recording Tip: When producing CourseWare a primary considerations I've never seen in any discussion is recording environment.

I use Apple hardware exclusively for video recording (and all other tasks) because the computer fans rarely spin up.

Ambient noise (traffic, kids, central air, computer fans, disk subsystems) all generate noise.

I use either iMacs (fixed location) or Macbooks (portable) with 100% SSD drives + no CD/DVD readers, as mechanical disks + CD/DVD readers generate heat, which cause fans to spin up + be noisy.

On Macs ScreenFlow works much better than Camtasia Studio, as ScreenFlow requires far less CPU resources for recording, fully exploits multithreading for fast finalizing, costs much less than Camtasia Studio.

If you're primary income generation will come from CourseWare production, be sure to research iMacs + ScreenFlow.

Hi

Thank you for the replies.

I downloaded and installed Camtasia free edition that has a "water mark" to much bigger, unfortunatelly.

It looks the learning curve will be soft but the softwares runs heavilly,

It has a lot of very interesting features and effects.

I tried to use shortcut, too heavy, also.

NCH suite is a very good product.
