I don't have a ton of experience with projectors, but my sister recently brought this over and it works surprisingly well. We projected it onto a wall about 15 feet away and the image was clear. We hooked up a Roku to the HDMI port and had to use power the Roku through USB with a wall charger.

The built in speakers are passable for a portable projector. Hooking it up to a bluetooth speaker was an easy way to get better quality sound.

I can't speak on the long term quality of the projector as my sister only got it recently, but at the price its listed its an incredible value.

You might want to elaborate with your set up and how you're planning on using the projector. Will it be for a dedicated home theater room? Something portable like the one my sister got that you'd just display on a wall or sheet? Do you want to connect it to 5.1 surround? etc.

The one thing I was told it that they want to be able to connect via Iphones and android

A bit vague as to spec at the moment aside from that ...

Hmm, the Dr J projector said it could connect to Android and iOS phones, but we did not test that functionality. Sorry!
