Outlook 2019 Signature Button Doesn't Work

Corcent used Ask the Experts™
We recently installed a new computer at the client's office and set them up on Office 2019. However, their signature button will just blink when clicking. Nothing happens. How can I get this to work again?

Steps Taken:
1. Uninstalled all Microsoft office pre-loaded software
2. Re-installed office 2019
3. Created a txt file in the %app%\Roaming\Microsoft\Signatures file
4. Created 2 registry files that point to the signature file for a manual signature to always work..doesn't work
5. Adjusted user permission to admin
6. Looked for the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CLASSES\CLSID\{000000000046}\LocalServer32..However, no CLSID is listed under the classes entry
7. Ran a Microsoft repair tool

Are you installing Office 2019 64 bit?

Is there an Office Desktop app in Windows app store? If yes, you need to unintall the Office Desktop app first and re-install your Office 2019.

AlexA lack of information provides a lack of a decent solution.

Run outlook with this

outlook /safe

Then try again, also don't forget, if group policy is hitting the machine it's entirely possible that they have blocked local signatures.

Thank you for your help. I used a program to search for hidden copies as I had previously uninstalled all office programs from settings and also programs & features. However, there appeared to be another one hidden that neither sections were showing. I uninstalled the other office app and then was able to install the program again. At that point, the signature button worked.
