Hi Experts

Could you point on what a MSSQLServer specifically designed to work with SAP differs from a conventional MSSQLServer?

Accordingly with a DBA I get the notice there are differences in software installation between them, f.e.

So, is there a special version to use with SAP?

Thanks in advance.

As far as I'm aware "SAP supports SQL Server 2016 on Windows Server 2012 and higher." as stated here: https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/SAPSQL/FAQs+about+SQL+Server+2016 but it also supports older SQ 2012 and SQL 2014 as mentioned here: https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/saponsqlserver/2016/03/07/whitepaper-sap-on-sql-server-2012-and-sql-server-2014/
