Already have manager access and follow the steps to try create index file. However, index file can not create
In order to create the index, the user needs write permission to the folder where the mail database is. The index itself is stored in a new folder with the same name as the mail database, but with the extension .ft (e.g.litmic.ft).

Is it a local replica of the database, or on the server?
If there is already a folder like litmic.ft, what are the user's permissions for that folder? If it's a local db, you could quit Notes, remove the .ft folder manually, restart Notes and try again to create the index.

Already have the server and user mailbox manager right, however, still can't create the index file. ft
O/S rights, the permission to create a folder on the disk.

Do you have any error messages? Can you give me more info please? I'm on the other end of the world, and my crystal ball is broken, so I can't see what happens on the system...

Got this message "Your request to index this database has been queued locally. You may search the database as soon as indexing is complete". But no ft file created.
.ft is not a file, it is a folder, and it is created in the folder where the database is located (e.g. \Notes\Data\mail). The user needs permissions to create a folder, and sub-folders and files in that folder.

Could you try to create a full-text index on any other database on local, e.g. names.nsf, to find out if that works? If it does, I guess that the original database is corrupt in some way, which might be resolved using the usual compact or fixup commands.
