Rebuild ESXi host in a cluster with vDS process
I can't seem to find the high level process to rebuild an ESXi host when in a vCenter cluster with vDS. I don't have time to lab it so thanks in advance.
Should I disconnect or remove the host first? When I add the rebuilt host back into the cluster, should I apply a host profile or just add it back to the vDS or is it going to make me migrate all the local vmkernals from the vss to the vDS again? Additionally, can I just backup the hostsvc/firmware/b;ackup_c onfig file and restore it on the rebuilt host instead of using a host profile if I go that route?
