Win 10 and Office 64 bit versions are incompatible?

I have a customer who just went to Win 10 Pro.   Microsoft 2016 (64 bit) was added to computers.   Now I am finding out that supposedly Win 10 does not work with 64 bit Office.   The software they are using to order "widgets" says it cannot see the e-mail client and the software company said because office 2016 is 64 bit.   Is this true?   Do I have to uninstall office and redownload the 32 bit version?  Is there a fix from Microsoft?

Office 64-bit absolutely compatible with windows 10. 3rd party plug-ins and applications may not be compatible with office 64-bit though and it is up to that application to uodate their code.  That isn't a windows or office problem.  You may indeed need to downgrade if that is what the application vendor is telling you.

Or replace the problem application

Yes, win 10 is Pro 64 bit.   The issue is the software that my client uses, per the software company's support, does not support 64 bit software.   They say that Windows 7 had something in it that would allow 64 bit Office to be used, but Windows 10 did away with this.

well i feel it is time they adapt it for 64 bit
so - ask them if it works on win10 32 bit - maybe you can use it like that - temporary ?
