Changing CPU ID to match an existing VM

How can I change my CPU ID to match an existing VM on another host?  My software vendor needs me to do this so the software license will work in our lab.

You would add the following lines to your VMX file for the VM:
cpuid.1.eax = xxxxxxxxxxx
cpuid.1.edx = xxxxxxxxxxxx

Those parameters are based off the two parts off the CPUID that you need.
