How do I increase the time allowed for verifying VPN user credentials BEFORE receiving a "timeout" error?
I have a Windows 10 laptop.
After I successfully connect to the internet at home over my wireless network, I VPN into the office server (running Windows 2016 Standard).
After my user credentials are verified, I can navigate to a folder containing client files.
Ocassionally, after providing user credentials, I receive a "timeout" error.
Is there any way I can increase the amount of time (for example 5 minutes), BEFORE receiving a timeout error?
Do I increase the time somewhere on my laptop, or on the Server?
Thanks for your help.

Nice, but you need to see the server side (the other side) logrecords. Those should contain the cause for disconnect (if connections actually arrive there).

Logging was not enabled, so I have enabled it. I will check the logs tomorrow.

I discovered the problem was not with my office network. The problem was the network settings on my home network.
ok. If you can tell what the actual problem was other may be able to use this issue as a solution as well.
