Hi there! :)

Try running this Powershell script as an Administrator on your computer. It will attempt to correct the issues for you.

Noah

I ran the script saw no errors.

I then refreshed my event viewer and the 6398 are still appearing.

Same event error

I noticed on Services On Server that the User Profile Service is stopped.  Could this be the cause?  How to start this?
Okay.

Otherwise, I guess we will have to manually disable the jobs that is causing this to appear. Try these instructions below. You may also refer to the article below which is where I referenced it from.

Reference: https://abdullrhmanfarram.wordpress.com/2013/06/16/event-id-6398-microsoft-sharepoint-products-sharepoint-foundation/

1. Go to the SharePoint Central Administration
2. Click Monitoring
3. Then click Review job definitions in the Timer Jobs section
4. Find the Job that is causing the exception by hovering over the links and checking the GUID in there
5. Click the job and click Disable
Noah

Thanks

How do I convert the GUID to the Timer Job ?    Do not know which timer job to disable

Also

I was trying to setup User Profile
and mine shows   USER PROFILE SERVICE APPLICATION   as STARTING           any ideas???
Noah

After running your script I am now getting this error also

I think you will need your Administrator or specialist to look deeper into this problem. This link should be able to help you solve it.

Noah I am the administrator of this site.  Just new to SharePoint 2016
Are there any other administrators or staff?
No just me
I think you will need their help since I am not sure how your SharePoint is being operated and managed.
Okay. I will try to think of a solution and get back to you here.

How does this look?

Do I need to run on my other node?
Yes, do run it on your node and test again. It seems like something was not configured and/or upgraded correctly previously and it might have fixed it.

This is still appearing

any ideas?
Noah

could it be because of the roles I assigned to both my nodes?

Both my nodes are application Role only

PS C:\Users\spadmin> get-spserver

Address                        Role                           Status
-------                        ----                           ------
TGCS027-N1                     Application                    Online
TGCS027-N2                     Application                    Online
Try assigning it to only one node and test again.
Noah

Should I make Node 1 a Front End with Cache Service?     then Node 2 be application
Yes, you can try that out first
