Hi,

Please see https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/29165136/PowerShell-Office-365-check-available-licenses-Visio-Project.html
Can I give a heldesk group rights to see O365 licenses ONLY: x available for Visio, y for Project etc?

So that would be the link: https://admin.microsoft.com/Adminportal/Home?source=applauncher#/licenses

Please advise.
J.

Hi,

there is a license administrator group which can manage licences. I am not sure if you want them just to see or to manage license as well?

There's no such role in O365, if you only want them to be able to see licensing information, you'll have to look for a third-party "portal replacement" type of tool. The Global Reader role can be used, but it exposes a lot more than just licensing info, even though it's read-only. Similarly, other roles can give you limited view but most of them come with management capabilities as well.

Now, as the other question revolves around getting this info via a scheduled script, can you clarify what is the exact intent here? Do you need a person to access this info via the browser or programmatically? If the former, the above recommendations apply. If you need programmatic access, then you can scope it down a bit more, but again there is no role that gives you access just to read licenses.
