Hi EE,

One user can't log into a Sharepoint 2010 site they are AD authenticated but when they try to sign they get a invalid credentials message. I have recreated the user in Sharepoint User administration no luck and double-checked their group assignments in AD and office 365 no issues.

How would troubleshoot this issue what logs would consult, any guidance is welcome?

Cheers.

Hi there! :)

As a start, get the user to log in from another browser and/or computer. If this works, you will need to clear the browser’s cache and probably check their computer for any network issues. It could be as simple as updating everything important in the computer like the .NET Framework, drivers etc. If this doesn't work, you will need the Administrator account to check that the user is not granted duplicate permissions or any that contradict each other.

Hi Noah,

Cheers for that I checked those,  no solution but I finally have access to the Sharepoint server are there any authentication logs I can check?

Thank you.

Hi! Unfortunately, I don;'t think there is a way to get users personal Login History in SharePoint 2016. However, you can try finding one with the instructions below. But I don't think it exists...

In the admin center, go to the Reports > Usage page.
Select a report at the top of the dashboard to select from a list of all available reports.

The same thing, go to the admin center.. If it's not there, someone has to create this analysis manually.
