Excel Question: how to count multiple external files

I would like to count a value from external Excel files

I have three files, File1.xlsx, File2.xlsx, File3.xlsx
I would like to count on a certain colum on each files and output on Count.xlsx
Please advise.

The other way is to create a Pivot table which consolidates data from multiple workbooks. You will need the Power Query Add-in. If it is already installed, you can immediately follow the guide below.

You will also need to ensure that the data in the data files are already in tables.
