How to open "PCD" files on Windows 10 PC
Hi,
We have a DVD which contains a lot of photos.
The photos on the DVD are of type "PCD".
Is there any way of opening these files on Windows 10 PC without having to install an application?
If not, which application would you recommend?
Thanks,
Robbie

Hi,
We downloaded IrFanView Graphic Viewer software to our Windows 10 PC.
On opening a PCD file in this viewer, it appeared small and seemed to be less quality.
1. Does this viewer have option to make full size on default?
2. Does this viewer reduce quality of images? If so, how view in high quality?
Thanks,
Robbie

Any chance you could upload the PCD file you are working with here so we can work with it to find a way to get higher resolution?

Don't have a pcd at hand, and can't reproduce with the usual format suspects, but it seems like by default, only a maximum base resolution of 768x512 is supported for PCD; for higher resolutions, the PCD plugin is required.
So if you haven't done so yet, download and install the plugins matching the bitness of IrfanView you've installed.
Then go to Options -> Properties/Settings. select the second entry from top "JPG / PCD / GIF".
Set this to "4 Base" or "16 Base".
