I am in a migration phase and I need some help please.
I have running an ADMT server and this server was working since end of 11.2019.
But now I have a problem to select the source domain when I like to migrate some users.
ADMT is unable to connect to domain controller....Access is denied.
The trust is tested and ok.
The user is a domain admin in both forests.
The servers are reachable via PING in both directions.
The local firewalls are disabled on both servers.
Do you have any ideas ?

I already have set this reg key.
Still I cannot select a source domain controller.
Do you have different Domain names or are they similar?

the domain names are differnet.
And just remember, it was working last month with this installation.
Have you gone through the security log to find out why you're getting access denied? It should give you more information and then we can go from there.

Lets clear something up, when I ask you to go into the event log to check the security event that your login is causing, it's because it's got more information in there rather than an 0x code. I don't ask for further information just for the sheer fun of it, I ask for specific details because that's EXACTLY what I need.
That 0x80070005 is a GENERIC access denied code, which is WHY I need the event from the security log, which will almost certainly provide further information about what is going on.

I found now the solution.
Everything was fine with ADMT coniguration and trusts :-)

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter. It also had derivative versions for clusters, storage and Microsoft’s Small Business Server. Important upgrades included integrating Internet Information Services (IIS), improvements to Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GP), and the migration to Automated System Recovery (ASR).
