I've been upgrading all of my Windows 7 Pro computer to Windows 10 Pro and prior to the upgrading, I had all the Windows Updates download Updates, and notify me to install them.  This would allow the user to Shutdown And Install the updates and the end of their work day.  Now that I'm down to the last 5 Windows 7 computers to update, I notice that only the Windows 7 are having the option to Shutdown and Install updates.  When I go in to the Windows 10 computer, I have to go to Settings and Windows Updates in order for it to begin to download the Window Updates.  After the full download of the Window Updates is when I get the option to either Shutdown and Install the Updates or Restart and Install the updates on my Window 10 pro computers.

This is also implemented by Group Policy.

Microsoft removed many controls from the Windows Update process.  You have the options you have in Group Policy or by using a WSUS server.  Otherwise, you're pretty much at their mercy.  You can specify "active hours" and if you choose, you can set the system to reboot at some point in the near future.  And periodically, you can push back the update process for up to 35 days.  But the option to download and only install with permission does not exist for the end user.

The fast and easier way is download the W10 image (ISO file), use ISO2Disk program to burn to usb drive and update the windows 10. We are doing this in our office to avoid network traffic. Here is the link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3159635/windows-10-update-assistant. Each client takes 30 - 40 mins to complete the updates.
