UEFI settings
for different reasons, one of my customers has a system with 2 different SSD boot drives
1=Intel SSD 530 - - settings in BIOS are : IDE and CSM UEFI
2= Samsung SSD 850 EVO - settings in BIOS are :AHCI and UEFI only
the motherboard = ASUS P8B75-M
since it needs everytime changes to bios, i want to know :
-is there a way to convert both drives to the same settings ?
-what settings are best - in view of speed, ease of access (W7?) etc?
ideas and recommendations are welcome

How old is the setup?
Intel had a problem with the 530 firmware initially which prevented the drive being seen in Windows following some restarts. This resulted in lots of workarounds including using the SSD in IDE which impacts on performance. Intel then released a firmware upgrade that fixed the bug.
It should be possible to switch it to AHCI provided it has the updated firmware (AFAIK that's been available for 4+ years)
There should be a thread for this on Intel's pages - will have a search.
(Ignore if this is a relatively new drive)

it has the latest firmware; sorry, i forgot to tell you all
and there's no problem with either drive - it's only the uefi or bios action we want to avoid
alex you said "When you move from IDE to ACHI or RAID you need to make some changes. " plse post them
