I am being asked to convert a Delphi application to MS Access. Was going to meet with a user of the application and print forms, reports, document processes, selected buttons.
Need ideas for this conversion.  I'm not familiar with Delphi.

Access is also a RAD tool, but it has not the amount of visual controls and flexibility (object oriented language) Delphi has.

So the only thing you can do:

Gather the requirements, the processes. Start on a green field. Use the old Delphi application only as last resort for this process. Cause in the long term, you'll get a different "application" than with Delphi.

btw, what's the reason for this?

You don't need to know anything about Delphi as this, in any case, will be total rewrite.

Just write down the logic of the application and use delphi's forms/reports for visual guidance.
