Slow Printing

We have a windows server 2003 Print server , i have added a new ptinter yesterday , since thenwe experiencing a slow printing for some terminals in our sales department  to the

the printers from the same modell hp laserjet M452

I have tried to change the driver to pcl , delete the connection from  client ot server then readd it .

add the printer with ip address , all that have not work .

Restart the spooler , the server,

the print jobs get stuck in the spooler for 3-4 minutes before are printed .

when i connect to other print server , it prints fast

what can the problem be ?

Morning,

Is it all printers on this server since you installed the new one or is it just this new one?

Thanks

many Printers of the same  modell 'hp laserjet M452 ' in the sales Department (old printers
If they are all the same model and you installed a newer driver for this new printer, replaced the old driver, it's entirely plausible that all the printers have moved over to the new driver.

Launch print management and check the driver version, then see if you have an older version installed (or newer) change it to that and then see if that fixes it. I think this is a driver issue, it's the only way you could affect all the same model of printers when you install a new printer.

If possible, never use WSD protocol. It's very slow by design, but sadly becoming the standard for HP driver install. Please manually create your network port (TCP/Jetdirect/9100) and install printer on there.
