My issue is not instant sync.
Since many days back updated contacts also not syncing in WhatsApp.
" clicking the green chat bubble in the lower left to bring up your contact list, then click the 3 dots in the upper right corner and select Refresh" I did the same. No luck.
Checked App Permissions. WhatsApp has my contact's permission.
Anything else I missed? Please suggest.
Hmm, I would check to make sure you have the latest version of WhatsApp installed, then check to see if the contacts are set to be "viewable".
Open your Contacts app -> Settings -> Accounts -> Whatsapp

Click "Account sync" button

Ya did the same.
Initially, I have only a Samsung Contacts app. I have installed Google Contacts App.
Now I can find the above screenshot.
Sync started and checked in WhatsApp.
The issue as the same. In Google Contacts, I have updated earlier saved contact. The same updated contact not reflecting in WhatsApp.
Still showing the old name.
Remove Google Contacts app.

Still no luck.
Android version 9 Mobile. Samsung M30
The first-time contact saved in Google Contacts is syncing with WhatsApp.
When I changed the same contact is not syncing with WhatsApp.
Please suggest.
Hmm, sorry to say it might make sense at this point and try re-syncing your entire WhatsApp account. Under Settings -> Accounts find WhatsApp and remove your account. Then go to WhatsApp and then refresh your contacts list. This should try to reset your sync issue.

Open the Contacts app by Samsung and open any contact, do you see a screen like the one above?

If no, it is likely that WhatsApp app does not have the correct permission of Contacts and you might need to disable and enable the permission on Contacts for WhatsApp and see whether the link between WhatsApp and Contacts app is in order.

If still no go, back up the chat log of WhatsApp to Google Drive, uninstall and reinstall WhatsApp.
