copy files and folders to user profile using gpo

Hello,

I have an UNC shared folder which contains files, folders and subfolders.  I am working on a GPO to copy everything in that shared to the profile of a user who login.

Source: \\server1\shared\app1\*.*

Destination: %userprofile%\Appdata\Roaming\app1

I specify this in user configuration>preferences>windows settings>files.  After the GPO is received, I only see files being copied from the UNC shared but the folders and subfolders are missing.

Please advise how to fix it.

Many thanks.

Thanks.  So, GPP cannot copy folders, right?  Do I do that in Windows Settings>scripts?

Correct.

Yes. You can use XCOPY as posted by Tom. I'd also include the /Y switch.
