The CMOS battery in a computer is just a typical. flat, watch-type (coin cell) battery which can be purchased just about anywhere batteries are sold.

Replacing them is dead easy, and I've linked to a page on the Dell web site which will walk you though the process.  You can remove the old battery, take it to a store, and ask someone to help you find an identical replacement.

Some Dell Studio have a CR2032 but it's on a cable and covered in heat shrink so you can't buy it at your local petrol station.

Ah, that one is just a coin cell, it's behind the two x4 PCIe slots.

OMG, I just spent £10 on one of these! My car key battery died when I was at a shopping centre so paid for it to be changed as I was in a hurry.
