RDP local user remote session gets locked

Hi Team,

There is an application SCAD which configured on several servers OS (Windows 2012 R2), Users are taking application access through RDP on their local system, all users are local users on server not domain users.

During the RDP session, sessions should not be locked. We have already taken the below course of action.

1>      Disabled the local screen saver policy on servers.
2>      If I login to server using local user ,it doesn’t lock and under screen saver properties also it shows wait 0 minutes
3>      But when users login to server using application RDP ,RDP Sessions are getting locked

Is there any additional setting need to be changed ?

Well, the first and important question is: Do the get locked or is it the RDP session timeout?

The latter is configured per GPO (Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration, Session Time Limits, Set time limit for disconnected sessions).

ASKER

local user screen gets locked (Screen lock like screen saver) which are taking RDP sessions .(Application name is SCADA) set time limit for disconnected sessions is 5 minutes we have set from local group policy.

Additional information, multiple local users are connecting to these servers . Remote desktop licenses are configured on these servers
