it’s just for a home - don’t need VPN etc

I followed your suggestions and it worked .. had done similar years ago ...
Lastly it has "router mode" and some other mode I cant recall ...
What mode should it be in?

If you connect it as I suggested, "router mode" should work. It may have an "AP mode", which would be more appropriate. If it's working, though, leave it as is!
