Office 365 Hybrid setup and Proxy Addreess

Hi All,
In hybrid setup we have to add the proxy address xyz.mail.onmicrosoft.com before migrating to office 365. Here i have added this proxy address with the exisiting one. But am getting error while doing. If am giving only the microsoft proxy address it will successfully migrate. Why would it happens like that.

Pleases give me small  brif about this.

Hello,
in Hybrid Mode - We need to have co-existence  between On-Prem messaging platform and Office365 messaging platform.
To have this capability, all users needs to have an additional routable email address - yourcompany.mail.onmicrosoft.com.

Once the mailbox is getting migrated to O365, The on-premise object will get converted as a mail enabled users with a target address pointing to the smtp - yourcompany.mail.onmicrosoft.com. By this way, Mails intended for Cloud users getting generated from an on-premise user/application can get routed to the Office365 mailbox. This additional address should come through the email address policy once you run the hybrid wizard. If the user is excluded from email address policy, then you may need to manually add the additional smtp first, synchronize to Azure Ad and perform the mailbox migration.

Can you please explain the exact error you are getting?
Did you check your email address policy?

Get-Mailbox user@domain.com | FL EmailAddresses, EmailAddressPolicyEnabled
