Dear Team,

My AD and exchange setup are crashed and the setup is not working anymore.
The exchange was on 2013.
Since i had to start the mail working, i created a new setup with New AD and Exchange.
I recerated all the users and Mailbox and the emails are working now.
The problem is all the old email is missing. Luckly i have the old Databse EDB file of the crashed Exchnage.

Is there anyway i can connect the EDB and copy back the old emails to the Malboxes created in New Exchange 2019.

Your help will be highly appreciated.

You have 2-3 options
1. Use 3rd party tools and import emails.

2. Mount the EDB in Exchange 2013 or later versions.
Connect to a different user and export email.

3. Mount the EDB or restore the mailbox to a different using newrestore request.

Thanks

Dear MAS,

Thanks for the update.
1) Can you please suggest a good 3rd party tool.
2) If i connect the Mailbox to a different user , after that can i tranfer the file from that user to original user through Management shell.
or i need to export to PST and then import to old user.

Either you mount the database and restore the mailbox using mailboxrestore or connect to a different user export and import to the original user.
