Trying to help a friend (via the phone) with setting up outlook 2019 & a couple of email accounts.
Since one is a business account & one personal, would you still go through the steps of setting up another profile for the 2nd account & then ask to be prompted for what profile to use when opening outlook?
I'm still on 2013, so I can't really go through the motions on my end, although using Instant Housecall is a possibility.
Gmail (business) account is already set up, but messages seem to be stuck in outbox...

Thats just personal preference, my Outlook profile has my business email, and two personal email account all in one profile, I prefer it that way.

I can watch there inboxes at once this way.

everything would end up in same inbox, unless I set up rules  to move to a separate folder, right?
when replying, would they automatically go out via the account they came in through?
Even if they are in the same profile, they should have completely separate storage files in Outlook with separate Inboxes, etc.

I would agree with Pete Long about this being personal preference.

In either case (separate or combined profiles), you'd go into Control Panel, Mail to add the email account to the present profile or to create a new profile and add it there.  If you don't have Mail in Control Panel (I've seen that recently with Outlook 2019) then just run Outlook.exe /manageprofiles.  That should give you the familiar tool for managing this.
