Scanner and Document Management Solution

Anyone used Brother Web Connect for scanning documents into a Box.com account?  Is it good?  I like Brother MFPs  IE MFC-9340, decent printing capability, and their ADF feeders.  Perhaps, I should break out the scanning solution into the Fujitsu arena.   I am flexible on that.   I am considering a considering several platforms for scanning documents into a local or cloud file server for a very, very small business.   An old school file server is out of the question.  But maybe a on-site solution like Synology but maybe that's a too much work to maintain too.  Maintaining a simple environment with the scanning documents flexibility.  Document Management flexibility is high on the list.  Does Paperport have network collaborative solution?  Anyway, yeah thoughts on scan solutions to Box first and foremost because of the easy file sharing hyper link functionality and security first and foremost.  Now as I think about this more, Brother is not known for their software, so maybe the Brother Web Connect is a bad idea.  Paperport offers Nuance Cloud Connector for integrating Cloud drives like Drive and Box.   Maybe a hybrid model of some sort...   Box for the Cloud unless someone to get me on Teams/Sharepoint train...  Just wondering if I should retain a local file server such as Synology or be totally confident a complete cloud based solution.

Random Tidbits... Applications that are installed locally on her desktop are Quickbooks and Lacerte.  I don't she will need others to collaborate on a database file but I will clarify that point.  I have no idea how Lacerte works.

Most any scanner will scan to your computer which you can sync that folder to OneDrive or box.com or wherever you like. Some scammers can go direct to a OneDrive or box.com account so you don’t need a pc at all, but those usually cost a bit more.

are they equally good or is there one preferred solution over the other?
if you are just scanning into a pdf in a folder it doesn’t really matter.
Nope,  we are trying  to use it more than just one folder.  See my initial post.

i going to avoid Box setup through the MFP console for now and try to setup Paperport as the connector to Box.  Also, going to play around with the Box portal feature too.
