Hello - one of my Outlook 365 / 2016 users is having a problem when inserting attachements into a new email - her SEARCH field is never active. When attaching a file, you should be able to search for a file and then attach it - her SEARCH field is always greyed out and not active. This happens whether set to a local drive or network drive. Is this a bug with Microsoft? She's on Windows 10 Ver 2018, on a Surface Pro tablet, using Outlook 2016 / 365.
