asked on Will Quickbooks enterprise database work on Windows 10
We are moving to Quickbooks Enterprise and I am trying to figure out if there is any reason why I need to run the database on a server as opposed to a high powered Win 10 machine.
We don't currently have a server so the expense would be considerably higher if it should be run on a server.

There's no reason the "server" won't run on Windows 10.
yes it does run on windows 10. I currently run the enterprise edition from my win10 laptop.
Maybe because of share connection limits in the workstation vs server

Hi,
as far as there's information about your request it's told, that you should have (with Windows 10) an installation from the scratch... so you might try your initial installation on a virgin system... then connect!
This is no knowledge, it's just what I'd try if confronted.
