upgrade windows server 2008 r2 to Windows server 2012 r2

currently trying to upgrade from Windows server 2008 r2 to windows server 2012 r2 can this be performed with OEM version cd.  I don't want to perform a clean install only upgrade

I will have to say "it depends"... Some OEM CD's are made to run from locked installers, or have bios locks in place.
I have only tried it with open license versions.

I believe ISORiver is still a legitimate site...

With that said fresh install is probably a better idea

I personally would prefer clean install, but this is a hospital and there is a lot of third party software and it would take a while for all their software to be installed.  If upgrade works with OEM cd that is the route for now.  Thanks for the help
This is the best money I have ever spent. I cannot not tell you how many times these folks have saved my bacon. I learn so much from the contributors.
