Windows Live Mail

Currently recovering from a hard drive crash.  My wife uses Windows Live Mail and has a large repository of emails.  I'm having trouble finding a reliable source to download the program since Microsoft no longer supports it.  As an alternative, is there an email app that will import Windows Live Mail data?

Thank you.

Got WLM downloaded.  Thanks!!

When I added my gmail account as an IMAP, it started downloading folders, but after a couple of minutes, a notice pops up that the connection to the server was lost.  Got the same result after several retries.  I and import a saved backup, but won't include that latest emails.  Any suggestions?

Also having trouble finding the appdata folder for WLM.  When I search for %appdata%, I don't see Windows Live Mail.  I do see Windows Live Writer, which I didn't think I selected for download.  Confused . . .

Tried making a new location for the message store and then moving the backed up files to that location, but still didn't work.  Any other ideas?

Thanks for the support.  I'm getting closer.  The data files on the failed hard drive were still readable and were copied to a new hard drive.  I copied all the Windows Live files from the backup to the Windows Live folder in the appdata/Microsoft directory.  The MailMSMessgeStore folder was dated Dec 30, 2019, the day of the failure, but the newest messages I see in Windows Live Mail are Nov 2018.  Not sure why.  Any suggestions?  Also I am not receiving any new emails.  I've attached a screen shot of the server settings.

On a related issue, why does Word uses Windows Live Mail (which isn't working) to share documents by email when Outlook or Windows 10 Mail are selected as default email apps?
