Thanks Bill, that's a really interesting tool! Unfortunately I didn't need it to track down the cause. Your comment about AV possibly getting in the way made me just try disabling that first. So I went to the user this morning, disabled AV, tried again, and it worked fine! I re-enabled and tried again to see if the problem happened again, but this time it didn't. So I am not sure what stopped the problem from recurring when I tried today.

I am fairly sure antivirus was the problem though when trying to confirm I couldn't replicate the issue again. But it was fine after I disabled the A/V.

Hi! I have a user who is having the attached error when trying to open an Excel file directly from a web page when using Firefox. When saving to a specific folder and opening the file from there everything works fine. Anyone have any ideas? It's Excel in Office 365 on Windows 10 Pro.<br />

Hi! I have a user who is having the attached error when trying to open an Excel file directly from a web page when using Firefox. When saving to a specific folder and opening the file from there everything works fine. Anyone have any ideas? It's Excel in Office 365 on Windows 10 Pro.



Opening file directly from Firefox fails
