DFS Namespace stops working after Transferring PDC Emulator role
Im getting this error when opening DFS. I would appreciate any help I can get. \\mydomain.com\public. The namespace cannot be queried. The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.
I looked in DNS and there is an SRV record for it. Amy I looking in the wrong place?
Here is a clue... from the secondary dc, I cannot ping the PDC by the FQDN. It will ping without the domain extension.

You have issue with name resolution and AD replication, as a fact you are failing to query DFS name space. DFS name space is stored in AD
Run "dcdiag /v" from elevated prompt on PDC and ADC and post results here to isolate the issue

It was a network browsing issue. The old server could not ping the new server by its FQDN and once I fixed that then it worked. Thanks for your hlep.
