Upgrading WIN 2019 Essentials to WIN 2019 Standard.

Anyone encounter any issues upgrading Essentials 2019 Server to Windows Server 2019 Standard. I purchased a new server less than two weeks old and everything is running great. Turns out business software that needs to run on this server does not support essentials.

Don't mind upgrading to Server 2019 Standard and purchasing CAL's. However, if this is anything like SBS was hoping there isn't any issues upgrading Essentials to WIN Server 2019 Standard.

Has anyone done an upgrade, how did it go, any hiccups?

Thank you

arnold, tried what you said, even the Dell tech recommended it and it didn't work. Came back saying the original operating system file was missing. Something along the lines of this.

I download the software from Volume licensing and ran setup and it all took without any errors. It was a first for me, I've had some nightmare issues come up in the past but this time the obvious solution worked the best.

Thanks for responding.
