Backing up a GPO and import the GPO into the Group Policy Objects
On our Active Directory and in the Group Policy Objects there is a GPO called Media1
I would like to take a backup of this policy and rename it as Media2 and then import it back to the Group Policy Objects.
I would like to use this Media2 Group Policy for testing purpose.
Firstly please post me tutorials to how to take a backup of a Media1 GPO and rename it to Media2.
Secondly, how to import the Media2 GPO into the Group Policy Object
Any help much appreciated
Thanks

Yes - that will preserve the current permissions, but it won’t stop you changing them.
However, make sure that the GPO once copies isn’t applied to an OU until you are ready to test it.

It gives 2 options
1.Use the default permission for new GPO
2. Preserve the existing permissions
I would like to keep same permission of Media1 GPO , but would like to add some more permission on the Media2 GPO
Is that i need to select the 2nd option ?
