Is CentOS 7's hardenings the same as CentOS 8 ?

Is CentOS 7's hardenings the same as CentOS 8?

Currently CIS only release benchmark & script
for CentOS 7 but we prefer to use CentOS 8 so
that it'll last longer before end-of-life

Likely most checks will be the same.

You can just run your specific script, then determine if fixes are required.

Also, very likely source of your script will update to CentOS 8 at some point.

Might be useful for you to open a support ticket with the developer asking the ETA of a CentOS 8 version. If it's release ETA is soon, might be best just to wait till the CentOS 8 version releases.

Thought CIS has also released for CentOS 8 benchmark 1.0.0 and 1.0.0.1 as well. Expand the list. Definitely there would be different but the base from v7 would applied still. It is better to review in parallel and have a backup in case of application interoperability.
