What changes I have to do at Citrix Server's side to open ICA with Citrix Receiver /Workspace app automatically?
I have made a file type association through GPO. I have checked in FTA under "Choose default apps by file type" . ICA associated with " Citrix Connection manger".
I have created one test.ica file on desktop ... the symbol changed to a Citrix-icon. That means, File Type Association (FTA) is working fine.
Google Chrome is downloading the ICA file. Whereas "Internet Explorer" is not a downloading ICA file. App / VDI directly opening.

Yes, a file type association has been made through GPO. Still, all users are facing the same issue.
if you create a test.ica file at userdesktop ... the symbol changes to a citrix-icon?
Otherwise, there is a problem with the FTA.

I have tested the same now, and its icon changed to the Citrix icon.

Google Chrome is downloading the ICA file.
Whereas "Internet Explorer" is not a downloading ICA file. App/VDI directly opening.
so you have to change the chrome-settings...
