i could not understand below comment from Arne

I would always suggest having the license server on somethig that is NOT part of the RDS deployment for anything else, and certainly NOT a session host server.
Capitals were used for emphasis.
You *can* put the license server on a session host server, but it is never a good idea, unless you do not have a choice.  If the server crashes, then while it is coming back up, it will be unavailable, and if it gets corrupted (remember - it is a glorified user workstation), then it could be down and unvailable until a new one is built.  It's generally a good idea to keep it separate.

It is a light-weight service, and can easily coexist with other services, but it is critical that it remain up.  It can run on an intranet server, a file server, etc.
