<p>Okay, a few thoughts on this. &nbsp;First, not directly related to the error you are asking about, but a couple of general observations about your code modules.</p><p><br></p><p>Always add the following to the top of a module, it will save you time later when you have variable names typed wrong, etc:</p><p><br></p><pre><code class="code-1 nolinks" id="code-20-43025909-1"><span>Option Explicit</span>

<b>(4)</b> From the menu bar select Tools, Export as CSV, and save the file to a TXT file somplace.<br />

JSON(PATH) AND JSON(VALUE) TAB TO the COMPAREFILE(PATH) AND COMPARE(VALUE). &nbsp;The problem I am having is the New Path and New Value show the function in the field and not the value. &nbsp;I need to compare those two elements in the compare tab. &nbsp;Then if the vlookup returns a false value, I need to send an email back to the customer by calling the email module. &nbsp; The two level columns should make the values unique for the comparison.

Okay, so I didn't see NewPath or NewValue mentioned in that comment, so I assumed you typed what you wanted, and I added a new column to the first sheet (&quot;json&quot;) which does a VLOOKUP() to the second sheet (&quot;CompareFile&quot;). &nbsp;If the corresponding Path key is not found, or if the Value does not match, I placed &quot;*MISSING*&quot; in the new column. &nbsp;This could then be used to drive you email error, etc.<br />

Bill, Still receiving the same error 287. &nbsp;The code builds the email but stops at sending. After looking at the internet it seems like a lot of individuals are receiving the same problem in Excel and Access. &nbsp;I will keep researching.

I can't figure out how to clear a type mismatch error message importing a json file into excel.  I can import through the excel "Data" from web menu with no problem.  When I try to insert json through code I keep getting type mismatch 13 run time error.  I have two modules included with my question.  The first sample module works.   But the second does not work with real code.  This  is the module I need help with.  I have a sample json file included.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
