How to change color of Window slider bar.

As shown in my photo, the slider bar does not have enough contrast (For me). Is there an EASY way to change the color? I do not want a solution that requires me to alter the registry directly.

Hello, yes, I know there is no photo. I forgot initially to include it. When I immediately attempted to add the picture  however I could not find any link to add a picture, so I gave up. I will not go to investigate Window Blinds. Thanks for your suggestion.
What version of Windows?

Btw, for instructions on adding screenshots to EE posts, see my article:

I give up! The experts here are AWESOME. Your answers are truly appreciated and are of high value to me. It is sad and disheartening when faced with "BIG BUSINESS" practices.  David provided me with what appeared to be the ideal solution. I purchased the product in a bundle with other titles they offered. MISTAKE! The company is misguided, off base, unrealistic, unfair and interested in profit only. When attempting to reach them for a very basic "can your software do whatever" I was met with zero assistance. No way to speak to any human. They take your money and leave you with ONLY forum support. NOT gonna happen here. A reasonable consumer expects at least minimal assistance. This company disagrees. I feel defeated by the jerks that run companies like stardock. ( they do not deserve a capital ;letter ). Again, thank you Experts for your time and expertise. But I am so done with companies like this one. Even after utilizing their methods of contact I was only met with email responses that had nothing to do with what I was concerned about. THEY DO NOT CARE. I am done.
Gentlemen - Let me vent. The suggestion to try windows blinds seemed to be the ideal solution. I was very enthusiastic when I saw this solution. I purchased the program along with the other items in their package. MISTAKE! I find that they have absolutely zero support other than forums. They take your money and let you fend for yourself. Only canned responses both on the phone and for any email that is available. Not gonna happen here. I truly appreciate your expertise and your solution was ( In theory ) ideal for me. It is just saddening that BIG BUSINESS is so misguided that they care only about profit. Get the money then leave support to others in similar situations. These companies should be put out of business.

Thank you David and thank you Joe. I am done.
Hi NaC,
Going back to your original question, what "slider bar" are you talking about? In what programs? And what version of Windows? Have you tried high contrast themes/settings? Regards, Joe
Joe, I have a screen capture available that shows the "slider bar" that I am having trouble with. It is attached. No, I have not considered the high contrast settings due to the fact that I am happy with everything windows is displaying for me except this one item. I am sorry that I don't know the correct name for this item. I find that in many of the applications that I use that this bar is near invisible for me. This particular shot was taken from my desktop copy of Evernote. I am using Windows 10 with all available updates. My monitors are Dell U2717D.  If it is important, my video card is an Nvidia Quadro P5000

Hi NaC,

That's called a scrollbar. The one on the right side of a window (like that one) is called a vertical scrollbar, while one of those at the bottom of a window is called a horizontal scrollbar.

Web searches for "change scrollbar color windows 10" and "darken scrollbar windows 10" will get plenty of hits (including recommendations for Window Blinds), but I haven't found anything that works. One that looked promising was changing the RGB values of these registry entries (although I know you said that you do not want to do that directly):

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Colors
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\Colors

I was going to write a .REG file for you that you would simply double-click (so you wouldn't have to manually change the registry), but, alas, I tried it on my W10 Pro V1909 system and it did work.

Sorry I couldn't be of much help. Regards, Joe
